John first began working with families around conflict over three decades ago with a focus on complex health, elder care, and estate decisions. In 1992 he became a certified mediator. Since then John has often drawn upon his training and experience in communication, personal and interpersonal dynamics, coaching and counseling to offer sensitive, strategic and effective conflict management and resolution services. He no longer mediates nor works with families and business associates in conflict. However he draws upon his decades of experience in his current speaking coaching and training. Whether in mediation or in pre-mediation facilitation, parties are given the opportunity and help they need to get beyond impasse. It is often helpful to address not only monetary issues and settlements, but also the underlying emotional and relationship issues such conflicts and settlements represent.

John is most experienced around family and divorce issues, estate, succession, elderlaw, health and eldercare issues, and strengthening the key relationships on the family side of family business within the context of business interests and demands. He especially excels in situations where the parties in conflict need to continue, in some form, in relationship with each other. John not only facilitates resolving conflict, but aims to provide tools for preventing and more easily resolving future conflicts.
