About John W. Gibson

Counselor and Coach

John has over 36 years experience as a consultant, executive, personal and family coach, counselor, mediator, facilitator, trainer, and speaker. He is a graduate of both Corporate Coach University International's Business Coaching Program and Peer Resources, Inc. Personal and Mentor Coaching Programs. John is a certified mediator and mediation trainer, a professional member of the National Speakers Association, and a member of the Family Firm Institute. John is the author of dozens of articles and several books. As a speaker and trainer John is noted for his ability to inspire and entertain while also educating.

John has been on the faculty of Columbia University, the University of Washington, and taught at Fordham and New York Universities. A graduate of both Columbia University and the University of Michigan, John holds degrees in psychology, social work, applied statistics and a Specialization in Aging, focusing on adult development, family and intergenerational relationships and psychological factors in health and illness.

John's broad, in-depth education and experience has prepared him for the complex challenges of work with individuals, couples and families.
